On This Day in Elizabethan History: Mary Stuart is Found Guilty of Treason

On this day in Elizabethan history in 1586, Mary Stuart, formally Queen of Scotland, was found guilty of treason against Queen Elizabeth I, due to her cooperation in the Babington Plot. You can read more about the details of the plot and her conviction in our BeingBess article here.
